Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. The CNC-milled handguard incorporates the traditional takedown block, features Magpul M-LOK-compatible slots, and a 6 o’clock position factory-installed handstop for secure support hand placement. The pistol also has an integrated rear 7075-T6 aluminum picatinny rail that allows for the mounting of Picatinny-style rail brace mounts. I think it will decrease even more over time. They are being distributed out now (March 17, 2020) and I would guess this firearm will be priced in the upper $600’s initially at local gun stores. Understanding how Ruger pricing works, I believe the actual gun store price will be much less. The MSRP for the Ruger PC Charger is $799. To say the least, I really enjoyed this firearm. My confidence grew as the target hits seemed automatic. With the brace or without, I was ringing steel at various distances. Within my first couple shots, I knew the PC Charger was a winner. The next two times were at my outdoor range because this gun was begging for steel. First, was at an indoor range to sight in the Vortex Sparc AR. I took the PC Charger to the range on three occasions. Receiver Finish: Type III Hard Coat Anodized A seven inch 1913 rail is one top of the firearm to add flip up sights or an optic. ![]() The Ruger PC Charger has a 6.5 inch threaded barrel (½” x 28), an A2 style grip, QD (quick detach) sling mounts on the rear and a cross bolt safety. With the PC Charger, Vortex Sparc AR and the brace, the firearm was a joy shoot. At the range, the control and quick transitions between the targets was incredible. I eventually received the SB FS1913 brace and it fit perfectly. I surprisingly felt like I didn’t need a brace. With the help of a Vortex Sparc AR, I was able to hit my targets from various distances with ease. While waiting for the brace to ship, I took the PC Charger to the range for a function check. When I first received the PC Charger, I knew that a brace would add to the control of the gun when shooting. I purchased an SB Tactical FS 1913 brace. The rear of the firearm has a 1913 rail for an arm brace. With a couple bolts to loosen (simple process) and the Glock insert installed, the PC Charger can run Glock mags all day long. They offer one 17 round Ruger magazine in the case. It comes shipped with an insert to fit the Ruger SR9/Security 9 magazines. Ruger also offers a magazine insert that allows the firearm to accept Glock mags. The hand stop prevents the shooter’s hand or fingers from getting too close to the barrel. The forend sports an aluminum M-LOK handguard and an aluminum hand stop. By locking the bolt back, moving the lever under the handguard and a quick twist, the forend is easily removed from the receiver. The Ruger PC Charger is a “take down” model. It is built very solid and precise which is consistent with Ruger firearms. The overall length is just 16.5 inches which makes it a simple to maneuver 9mm sub-gun that shooters will enjoy. It is modeled after the Ruger PC carbine but it’s much shorter. The new Ruger PC Charger is chambered in 9mm. Ruger recently introduced their newest gun to their vast line of firearms called the PC Charger.
